STATE CENTRAL COMMITTEE-DISTRICT 10
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Please send me any questions you would like answered.
WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO RUN FOR STATE CENTRAL COMMITTEE?
As most know, I was gearing up to make a second run for the Ohio House against Brian Lampton. I had pulled my petitions and collected all of my signatures. I had even began to campaign a bit. However, as the time to turn in my petitions drew closer, and I began to seek advice from some folks I trusted and respected, it became clear that there wasn't a path for me to win. Although I had performed well in the 2022 election against Representative Lampton, I had absolutely no support from my party, while he had plenty. They brought the Governor out to knock on doors for him 2 days before the election! It became apparent this would again me the case, only this time it would be even worse. They wouldn't let me get as close as I did last time. I made the tough decision not to run. I had many people asking me to consider running for the State Central Committee and the more I thought about it, the more it made sense. I was so upset and frustrated that we were probably losing so many great candidates because they were not getting any support from the party. What better way to change the way things are done than to become part of the way things are done? I realized I can make a bigger impact by being in a position that could help more grassroots candidates get into the fight and have a chance to have a voice.
WHAT SETS YOU APART FROM THE OTHER CANDIDATES IN THIS RACE?
There is a lot of mud slinging and chaos around some of the other candidates in this race, and I will not get involved in that. We also have a candidate that I am not quite sure is even campaigning at all, so I can not be sure where she stands on any topic. All I can or will speak on is who I am and what I plan on doing. I am a bold and forward thinking conservative. I think most of us feel that it is past time that we start replacing our establishment politicians and RINO's with NEW, and forward thinking folks who are ready to put the work in, get in the trenches and fight to save our country. I feel like anyone who isn't willing and or able to admit that we are in a fight to save our country right now, has no place in public service. That is what I feel sets me apart from my opponents, I am ready to get to work, ready to do the hard work, and make the calls that some may not have the strength and courage to make.
DO YOU BELIEVE IN VACCINE MANDATES?
No, I do not. I do not believe that government or businesses have any right to force an experimental, emergency use drug on any citizen of the United States. No one should be limited in their ability to work and participate in society because of their personal medical decsions.
WHERE DO YOU STAND IN REGARDS TO THE 2ND AMENDMENT?
I believe our founding fathers were quite clear when they wrote "shall not be infringed". I believe that there have already been too many "infringements" to our God given right to protect ourselves and I will fight to ensure that we maintain our right to bear arms.
WHAT ARE YOUR BELIEFS ABOUT ABORTION?
I believe that life is a gift from God and that life begins at conception. Every human being has the right to "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness", we do not have the right to deprive anyone to the right to life. I do not believe that abortion can be or should be labeled as women's healthcare or reproductive care. With that being said, I do have compassion, and realize that nothing is black and white, as much as we would like it to be. Although it is not something I am happy with, I do feel that we do need to make exceptions in abortion laws to include rape and incest.
WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE "BACKPACK BILL"?
I think that "Backpack Bill" is a good option for parents who want to have more control over the education their children are receiving. With the infiltration of things such as CRT and SEL in our public schools, our children are not being educated as much as indoctrinated into things that do not align with the purpose of sending our children to school to learn reading, writing, history, civics, government, arts, and many other important lessons. Parents having options for their children's education dollars will create a more competitive arena for the schools to keep those education dollars by offering the type of education that parents demand.
